Polar Star Properties is looking for an energetic and customer savvy Leasing Consultant to join our team! Do you have strong problem-solving skills, a solid work ethic and enjoy assisting others? Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Performing residential and leasing activities according to company policies to achieve occupancy goals and increased resident satisfaction

· Answering incoming calls and emails, scheduling appointments, completing prospect and resident follow ups

· Screening prospective tenants according to eligibility criteria

· Ability to read, comprehend, explain and complete legal documents to ensure a smooth resident move-in and lease signing

· Collecting and entering payments, security deposits, and other fees

· Maintaining applicant and resident accounts

· Use the on-site property management software to track apartment availability, traffic, leasing activities, and prospect data

· Utilize and establish creative marketing and social media strategies to increase property traffic

· Show available apartment homes, clubhouse and other amenities to prospects

· Taking resident service requests and coordinating with property operations and maintenance teams

· Ensure that all vacant apartment homes, community areas, including the club house and leasing office are in perfect condition

· Having a strong understanding of property management concepts and issues

· Willing to complete required training classes (Fair Housing, LIHTC etc.)

Required:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Fluent in English (speak, read and write)

- Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook

- Clean driver’s record, background screening and drug screening required.

Preferred:

- Associate or Bachelor’s degree

- Previous rental and property management experience a plus

- Bilingual in Spanish

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Some Saturdays required.
